Chelsea are preparing to break the British transfer record set by Angel Di Maria by launching a bid of £63 million for Sergio Ramos from Real Madrid according to Don Balon.

The Blues are set to lose their captain and long-term leader John Terry at the defense and are interested in replacing the void left by him with a strong name and personality. Enter Sergio Ramos. The La Liga star renewed his contract with Real Madrid last year amid speculation linking him with Manchester United. He has spent 11 years at Real and may be open for a new challenge now.

Chelsea will not be at Champions League next season and luring the Real Madrid player without European football may be difficult however the Blues are set to go all out to lure him to the English capital. Antonio Conte is ready to reshuffle the team and has asked the board to get the player at any cost.
