20 Goals In 42 Appearances At His Previous Club: 3 Possible Destinations For This Chelsea Forward

After the infamous failed medical at Liverpool, Loic Remy moved to Chelsea in order to take his career to the next level. He had scored 14 times for Newcastle in the season before which he came to London.

The Frenchman was brought as a cover to the mercurial Diego Costa and provide some competition for the striker’s position. But it seems Remy has failed to settle in at Chelsea and has played very few games for the blues.

Much was expected from the Frenchman who has immense pace and runs of the last defender and has scored some real gems in the Premier League. Having scored 20 goals in 42 appearances at his previous club, Loic Remy failed to live up to the expectations.

This was supposed to be a shrewd signing by the Chelsea board but unfortunately, it didn’t work out for the Frenchman. Remy has both Premier League and Champions League experience and should find a new club in the summer rather quickly. So, let’s take a look at the possible options that can be a good springboard for Loic Remy to resurrect his fading career:

1. Leicester City:

The foxes showed some real interest in the January window but the deal couldn’t happen as expected. It is rumoured that the Club will bid again for the Frenchman and will look to build a strong squad for their European campaign next year. This is the best possible destination for Loic Remy.

2. Everton:

Everton need a striker having League experience to complement Romelu Lukaku. No better option than Remy, and with such a young squad this might be a good move for both the parties.

3. Chinese Super League:

Get used to the Chinese League rumours now. They are here to stay. Loic Remy was targeted by Shanghai Shenhua and Hebei Fortune but the deal fell through. They are expected to come for the Frenchman again in the next window and this might be a smart choice for Loic Remy to earn some good moolah.
