Sky sports pundit Gary Neville has joined Valencia only till the end of the season. Speculations are flying high as to who may take the place of the Valencia coach once his contracts gets over and does not extend further. Many believe Neville was chosen because he is not a Mendes man.
Jorge Mendes, the supreme super agent, is now looking to bring in Jose Mourinho once Gary Neville’s term ends and if he does not extend the same. Mendes, who is the key person involved in getting Peter Lim and coach Nuno Espírito Santo, into the La Liga, seems to be the one guiding the future of the club. With many of his clients in Mestella, it is pretty unsurprising that Mendes is able to pull the strings of the club in his favor and that of his clients.
“It is disrespectful to talk about other coaches at the moment.” Says Lay Hoon Chan
The Valencia president deflated the suggestions of the Chelsea Manager replacing Gary Neville next summer stating it to be “disrespectful” to even suggest. Although the reaction maybe elicited by the close ties Mourinho has with Mendes.
