Jose Mourinho got another one over old foe Arsene Wenger as Arsenal suffered a 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge this evening. Kurt Zouma and Cesc Fabregas starred for the Blues as the Gunners  ended the game with 9 men.

Chelsea (4-2-3-1)

Asmir Begovic 6 – Sharp, decisive and alert. The Blues goalkeeper is proving an ideal back-up as he put in another impressive display. Denied  Aaron Ramsey in the dying minutes.

Branislav Ivanovic 7- Made captain for the match, put in an encouraging display compared to his underwhelming start to his season.

Kurt Zouma 8- Scored the opener and pulled off several critical tackles to cap off another fine performance to gradually cement his place in the team.

Gary Cahill 8- Organised the defence efficiently after getting the nod over John Terry. Developing a good understanding with Zouma.

Cezar Azpilicueta 6.5 – Had his hands full with Aaron Ramsey but dealt with the challenge well, while making potent runs down the left wing.

Nemanja Matic 6- Had an interesting battle with Francis Coquelin in the first half and protected the back four very well in the second.

Cesc Fabregas 9- Brilliant going forward and created several chances including setting up Pedro in the first half. Assisted the opener and helped Chelsea control tempo.

Pedro 6- Had several chances and came close to scoring once had it not been for Petr Cech. A bright spark up front and a much-needed energy boost.

Oscar 6- Came in for WIllian and put in an effective shift playing behind the striker. Helped out in the defence consistently.
Hazard 7-Looked inspired and more confident on the ball than anytime this season. Made his darting runs and kept Bellerin busy throughout the game, scoring the final goal through a deflection.

Diego Costa 5.5- Slapped Koscielny twice and successfully got Gabriel sent off, after riling him up.  He managed to wind everybody up.
