The Brazilian has been a sensation this season and is currently one of the first names on the team sheet at Stamford Bridge. He has played in 14 games this season for the Blues, scoring three, and his importance cannot be undervalued.
Chelsea simply do not have another player as good as Ramires at what he does. He is an explosive player who adds all the energy into the midfield and without him it would look as static as a Michael Carrick statue. His zest compliments Lampard’s creativity and his aggression make the midriff a harder place to dominate for opponents.
He also has immense ball control and although he is spindly in stature, he’s a strong player who can give even the bulkiest players a run for their money when it comes to a battle.
The job he does in the middle is underrated, in my eyes, and should Chelsea let him go to Barcelona then I feel that they may find out what he’s really about the hard way.
