Drogba still recovering …

Didier Drogba is facing a battle with fitness to be fit for Chelsea’s clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford as he continues to recover from the head injury he received against Norwich.
Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas told the Sky camera’s today that the big striker would miss Saturday’s trip to Sunderland, as well as Tuesday’s Champions League opener against Bayer Leverkusen.
Despite injuring himself against Norwich, 11 days ago Drogba is still suffering from concussion, there is still hope that he will make the trip to Old Trafford on Sunday week, but the game could come too soon for the Ivorian.
Villas-Boas told to the press: “The first days were, of course, tremendous pain, and he had his family supporting him.
“He had complete support from the medical staff, who were with him 24-seven.
“And we’ve been getting this support to him.
“We just have to make sure that he’s fully recovered before he comes back to training because that’s the requirement you have to do neurologically.”
“He has to be authorised medically to make his full return to training, he has been doing light sessions, of course, with our physios.
But confirmed: “I wouldn’t say he would be available for Leverkusen.”
“Let’s push it to the limit to try for him to be available for Man United.”
The priority is the big man’s health, but like the Chelsea manager and staff, we want to see him back playing.
