Arsenal want Alex

It has been reported that by Sky Sports that Arsenal have turned their attention to Alex.
The Gunners already knew that their defence needed to be reinforced and after yesterday’s thrashing at the hands of rivals Manchester United they decided that the Brazilian could be their answer.
Whilst Thomas Vermaelen proved to be a star signing two years ago, Arsene Wenger has struggled to find a good enough centre-back to partner him.
It has been highly publicised that they have shown interest in Bolton’s Gary Cahill, Everton’s Phil Jagielka, and Birmingham’s Scott Dann but this is the first time they have been linked with Alex.
Whilst Alex would be a perfect match, it will be interesting to see if AVB will be willing to sell to a divisional rival.
