Youngsters Staying Put …

England under-21 internationals Josh McEachran and Ryan Bertrand have both signed new long-term contracts with the club.
After a summer that has seen a lot of young talent leave Stamford Bridge, it is a good sign that two of the club’s brightest stars are staying put.
Josh McEachran, 18, agreed a new five-year deal whilst Ryan Bertrand, 22, signed a new four-year deal with Chelsea.
Fans will be pleased to hear that McEachran said: “It is what I wished for when I was a kid and hopefully I will spend my career at Chelsea.”
Having worked his way through the Chelsea squad McEachran is now a regular of the Blues’ bench, and was part of the 2010 FA Youth Cup winning side.
Bertrand was signed back in July 2005 from Gillingham, and has enjoyed loan spells with Norwich, Nottongham Forest and Reading. He is expected to go out on loan again this season but it will not be long before he is ready to fight for a place in the starting XI.
