Emanuele Giulianelli, the Italian transfer expert has made a claim that Arsenal chief has contacted Antonio Conte regarding a possible move for Kurt Zouma.
The French defender is considered a future star of Chelsea, who is likely to fill John Terry’s shoes once he is gone. While Terry has signed a new contract, it is expected that Zouma will be a key figure at Chelsea next season and Terry will have a reduced role. Arsene Wenger’s attempt to take Zouma away from Chelsea is going to cause a complication in that plan. Zouma is currently injured in the knee and is trying to get fit before August.
Arsene Wenger is hoping to lure the defender away from Stamford Bridge with the promise of Champions League football but the deal looks unlikely. Chelsea are looking to rebuild their squad and it will not be long before they are back into the Champions League. Zouma, 21, should have plenty of time to see that happen.
