Blues keen on Russian keeper

It is thought Chelsea are interested in signing CSKA’s star keeper Igor Akinfeev.

The club had previously looked at the Russian stopper when Petr Cech got injured 18 months ago but nothing ever happened.

Whilst the Blues brought in Belgian Thibaut Courtois during the summer, he is still a little young and raw become the team’s number one. 

Once major concern about the Russian is that he has only just returned after injury and it’s unknown whether he will get back to his old form.
